This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working remotely. The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time.

Job description

Enterprise architects are leaders working across different levels within an organisation to translate the business strategy into business change and technical delivery.

A senior enterprise architect supports lead architects in ensuring the strategy is developed, agreed and followed.

As Senior Enterprise architect for Strategic Connectivity Service Executive Domain you will create and own the architecture for the SE, through engaging with the Service Owners and ensuring consistency and coherency with the organisations reference architecture. You will be part of the Portfolio Integration Office (PIO) under the technical supervision of the Lead Solution Architect and reporting to the PIO Lead. Sitting within Strategic Connectivity, the PIO supports the Service Executive and Service Owners in delivering their services end to end and providing portfolio level oversight and guidance for live service, change and project elements. In the strategic space, the PIO also collaborates with the other seven Service Executive Domains and engages with the corporate teams for governance.

Person specification

The incumbent must be confident, analytical, articulate and able to use their own initiative to deliver required outcomes successfully and in a timely manner. There may be the requirement to travel to meetings within the UK, where an overnight stay away from home might be required. There are currently no Line Management duties associated with this post.
