The Company

General Manager - Millie's Cookies @ Manchester Trafford Centre

At SSP UK we now are recruiting for a talented and experienced General Manager to lead our teams at Millie's Cookies at the Trafford Centre.

We are the leading operator of restaurants, bars, cafes and food courts in travel locations. Established for more than 60 years, our operations feature a mix of food and beverage brands tailored specifically for each location. You will be joining a world-leading food service organisation with superb learning, development and progression opportunities, operating over 400 stores in the UK alone.

It’s as good as running your own business but with the support and fantastic development opportunities of working with a worldwide market leading company.

Joining us as a General Manager is an exciting new challenge that offers great benefits and opportunities to grow and the chance to take your career to a whole new level within SSP.

Starting with a passion for great customer service, you'll look after all aspects of team management, ensuring operational standards and legal compliance are achieved and the store runs profitably, controlling costs and growing sales.

The day to day management of the store will include creating and serving outstanding cookies, working with your team and inspiring them to offer fantastic customer service at all times and helping them to achieve their career goals.

In order to be successful in this role, it is important that you have worked in a similar high volume food retail / bakery or similar environment before and can use your experience to improve results and drive the business forward.

In return for your skills and experience, we offer you a rewarding and vibrant working environment, real and achievable career opportunities and excellent training and development to enhance your existing skills.

You'll receive a competitive salary of £30,000 p.a. plus bonus incentive, pension scheme, 28 days holiday, life insurance, up to 75% employee discount on our own and franchised brands and numerous other retailers and services, great opportunities to develop your career into different brands or more senior management roles, with our award winning and accredited management development programmes.

Diversity and Inclusion is a priority at SSP. We are an equal opportunities employer committed to engaging all of our people, so they feel valued and motivated; we champion diversity, promote inclusion, and ensure equality. We respect and protect human rights and prevent discrimination; and we positively impact our communities. We encourage and welcome applications from a diverse range of candidates regardless of background, gender, race, religious beliefs, disability, sexual identity and orientation or age.
