Riverside Hair and Beauty are delighted to be looking for their next Hairdressing Apprentice to start as soon as possible.

No previous experience is necessary as training will be provided, although some experience will be highly regarded. Must be able to maintain the Riversides Hairdressing principles when performing any service in the absence of a stylist, for example, when shampooing, head massage, promoting products and providing the highest level of customer service to guests. The ideal candidate will reflect the Riversides Hairdressing brand, showing passion, creativity, motivation and an eagerness to learn.

Main Responsibilities:

• Customer service, greeting clients, preparing clients for services i.e refreshments, gowns and general comfort.
• Discuss products and hair care with clients
• Keep up to date with hew products, styles and industry information.
• Perform skin testing prior to colours and log this information on the in-house system
• Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Assist stylists with procedures such as colour removal, toning, washing and blow-drying
• General housekeeping and tidying of the salon
• Attend in-salon training days and work/training reviews
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and progress within the company

You will be required to attend East Riding College - Beverley, one day a week
