We have a new opportunity to join the Housing Needs team at Peterborough City Council as a Homelessness Prevention Officer. The role will be based within our new prevention hub, and you will work with clients and partners to prevent homelessness. Taking a proactive and collaborative approach you will be confident in offering robust advice and solutions to those who find themselves without accommodation.
You will have experience of working with persons who find themselves at risk of homelessness within the statutory guidelines and will be able to utilise your knowledge and the prevention tools available to you to achieve a positive outcome.
The role will bring you into contact with customers with a range of needs. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with support services and other members of the housing needs team. Therefore, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and a willingness to assist those who need your help.
