Job Description

We have a 6-month contract position available for an experienced IT Specialist proficient in Visual Studio, VB.NET, SQL and digital application development. Due to the nature of the role, this role does require someone to be in the London office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and comprehend banking processes, systems, and requirements to create effective IT solutions for our dedicated project.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Visual Studio, VB.NET, and cutting-edge technologies, with a focus on digital applications for the banking industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our software applications meet organizational needs and comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and internal stakeholders, resolving issues related to digital applications.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing software solutions within the project scope, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary updates.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in banking IT, helping our organization remain at the forefront of technological advancements.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including user guides, system manuals, and training materials.
  • Participate in project status meetings, offering updates on progress, risks, and challenges encountered during the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with IT solutions in the banking industry.
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio, VB.NET, SQL and digital application development.
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
