Studio Manager - Milton Keynes

One of the UK's leading commercial photography/videography/creative studio's is looking for a Studio Manager

The studio delivers high quality imagery to some of the UK’s most Iconic brands. Due to organic growth we are looking for Studio Manager to project manage the shoots in our busy studio.

You should be an excellent project manager, who can multi-task in a fast paced environment. Our clients often work to tight deadlines so you should thrive in juggling resources to deliver solutions on brief, on time and on budget.

This is a varied, hands on role for a self starter with a positive can do attitude. You should have excellent people skills and be able to demonstrate success in project managing many small projects simultaneously.

You will need excellent written and spoken English. This is much more than a desk based project management role and would include many varied activities expected in a busy commercial studio.

We are NOT looking for someone with a photography, videography or creative background. However experience in a similar role within the industry would be an advantage.

  • Shoot Resource Management
  • Allocate Studio space required for each shoot
  • Liaise with creative team to ensure briefs are complete
  • Allocate Internal Creative staff required
  • Book External Creative staff required, eg stylists.
  • Book catering
  • Organise props & models required
  • Allocate post production time
  • Manage client communication & feedback loop
  • Shoot Budget Management
  • Allocate and track time spent on project
  • Analyse and report impact on profitability
  • Quote, Invoice and allocate payments
  • Manage/allocate payment of external staff
  • Keep project management tools up to date
  • Studio Management
  • Ensure staff are keeping the studio clean and tidy ready
  • Manage stock levels of studio essentials - eg coffee, milk
  • Manage studio diaries
  • Manage studio hire bookings
  • Manage Licences and Release forms
  • Ensure studio databases of client, suppliers, models, stylists contractors is up to date
  • Studio Financial Management

  • Quote, Invoice and monitor payments
  • Work with Operations director to create monthly P&L reports
  • Collate invoices from suppliers and log payments
  • Marketing
  • Work with Operations Director to ensure regular positive studio social media & blog content written by the creative team is scheduled/published

Experience required:

  • Minimum 2 Years of Project Management/Account Management
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering projects
  • Supplier/Customer Management
  • Customer Service

You would need to be available to work Monday - Friday 8.30am-5.30pm from one of our Milton Keynes studio’s (MK12 and MK46 postcodes). We are looking for someone for an immediate start.
