An exciting opportunity has arisen for the rewarding role of Receptionist on our newly agreed Childrens Medical Day Case Unit
Childrens Medical Day Case Unit is planned to open in Summer 2023 and will made up of 6 day case chairs providing medical day case procedures to a wide range of medical specialties; including but not limited to General Medicine, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Allergy and multiple more
Applicants must have office and reception based experience, as well as a good telephone manner and keyboard skills. They must be able to work using their own initiative and be able to communicate with patients, visitors and all levels of staff in a clear and accurate way.

To support the ward team and provide reception and administrative cover.

The children’s hospital is housed within the Queens Medical Center campus and has 116 inpatient beds across 8 inpatient wards covering all specialties.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To be responsible for providing clerical support during admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
To be responsible for ensuring that case notes are complete and in order before being sent to other wards and departments.
To promptly manage incoming and outgoing post.
To ensure resident families are aware of the facilities available to them.
To ensure outpatient appointments are booked correctly and in a timely manner.
Ensuring nerve center is updated daily with correct patient details.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
