We have an opportunity for a Senior Advanced Embedded Engineer to join our Fire team in Leicester.

Responsibilities Include:

• Designing and implementing firmware architecture for embedded devices and systems

• Designing and implementing firmware for embedded wired and wireless devices and systems

• Ability to travel more than 10%

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field

• 7 years of engineering experience successfully developing wired/wireless connected IoT products through full development lifecycle

• Multiple sensor based product design experience

• Firmware design for low power, low resources, design should consider re-usability

• Firmware design using IMX8

• Knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART implementation

• Experience of using tools IAR workbench, STM32CubeMX, GIT, SVN, Bitbucket or similar

• Experience of using Oscilloscope, logic analyzer.

• Design to meet standard requirements (EN54, UL etc)

• Design for test, automation and manufacturing.

• 5 years of experience Previous experience developing firmware architecture and embedded systems

WE VALUE

• Strong background in wired communication systems, low level protocol

• Strong background in wireless communication systems like Wi-Fi, 802.15.4, Zigbee, Bluetooth, Zwave

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification

• Experience leading projects and multi-site cross-functional teams to achieve milestones and complete deliverables

• Previous experience working with all levels of management as well as a global work force

• Advanced knowledge and use of Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc) and ability effectively use SharePoint, OneNote and Microsoft Teams
