An opportunity has arisen within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences (FEPS) Executive Office team for a proactive, self-motivated and organised individual to join our team.

You will be responsible for providing administrative support to members of the FEPS Senior Leadership Team including the Associate Deans (ADs) and will work closely with the ADs to provide high level professional administrative support for a wide variety of activities in the Faculty and across the wider University. This will include diary management, making travel arrangements, arranging and taking minutes at committee meetings. There will also be the scope to take on general administrative projects. You must be able to work as part of a team, be able to multi-task and have a strong attention to detail as well as being able to independently complete tasks when necessary, sometimes to a tight deadline.

It is important you build effective working relationships with colleagues across the faculty and across other groups within the University as well as external partners. Your contribution is critical to the effectiveness of key Faculty staff responsible for leading Faculty strategies and policies in their respective remit. In the absence of the Executive Assistant you will provide cover for the role.

If you feel you are able to offer the skills and experience outlined in the job purpose, and you bring with you a positive, team-focused attitude, then we would love to hear from you.

Due to the nature of the role, there is a requirement for some on-campus working, and some remote working is possible subject to agreement.

Interviews are expected to take place on Monday 5 June.

For information please contact Helen Welford (h.welford@surrey.ac.uk).

Please submit your CV and covering letter with your application.
