The gig:

An industry leading Digital Consultancy are seeking Software Developers to work on a wide variety of existing and Greenfield projects, including User Centred Service Design, Digital Transformation, Strategic Consulting, and much more. All projects gives the opportunity to contribute a positive social impact.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. Software Engineers work in multi-disciplinary teams that build, support & maintain User-Centred digital solutions that offer real value and work for everyone.

You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. Using your ninja-like dev skills you will apply an agile, service design approach to solving clients' problems using a variety of technology platforms to enable change.

You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills. Sometimes, dealing directly with end-client tech teams you must have strong business interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code and produce user-centred software based on each end-client individual requirements
  • Develop and support accessible services in a variety of frameworks and languages, advising on industry best practice
  • Create solutions in line with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
  • Support test and deployment of new products and features and present prototypes to customers clearly
  • Have strong ability to develop solutions in native cloud environments - AWS/Azure
  • Build relationships internally and externally
  • Assist in the professional development of other engineers, essentially helping to grow the business unit with like-minded, high performing engineering talent

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications or continuous development
  • UK resident for 5+ years
  • Track record in software development and full development life cycle solutions
  • working experience of user-centred design digital solutions
  • Extensive experience developing software across multiple frameworks/languages - ideally polyglot, or Java, .NET are the main languages used
  • Cloud services/solutions experience along with Infrastructure as code experience
  • Expertise in containerisation - Docker or Kubernetes or similar
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
  • Consultancy or client facing or public sector experience is highly desirable
