Purpose

The Talent Acquisition Lead UK will report into the CP Talent Acquisition Lead in EAME and have a dotted line to the UK HR Head. You will thrive on leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Talent Partners by setting the highest standards of quality, service and customer centricity. The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall strategy and end to end delivery of Talent Acquisition within CP, Seeds and Group business units and will act as the Talent Acquisition Advisor to your business and HR stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • Establish and build relationships with hiring managers and key cross-functional stakeholders internally to strongly position the TA function as a strategic & operational business partner.
  • Work with the business and HR to define hiring plans and priorities and ensure efficient and effective delivery against these plans.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for senior level / strategic hiring across CP, SE and Group putting both the candidate and line manager experience at the center of the process.
  • Lead a team of 4 Talent Partners to deliver against business needs whilst ensuring the compliance of robust recruitment processes and achievement of quality KPI’s
  • Drive engagement of the talent acquisition community through various forums and interventions, to develop capability and expertise and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure regular discussions with direct reports to provide mentorship, guidance, and career development
  • Partner efficiently with regional Team Leads and Talent Partners cross-BU to deliver projects, multiple-location positions and BAU activities.
  • Be an active member of the Regional TA Leadership Team who effectively embodies and promotes the culture and values of Syngenta and leads the team to do the same.
  • Develop innovative ways of working to drive a more pro-active recruitment method and mindset, primarily led by the adoption of new technology, better data and insights, and a focus on client centricity.
  • Set and tracks team KPIs / SLAs to ensure high levels of performance, in line with global BU guidance.
  • Manage executive search / agency hiring across in country.
  • Use data to build and present insights/stories to influence positive change & outcomes.
  • Act as a diversity & inclusion champion, setting an example for talent acquisition professionals.
  • Continuously seek out opportunities to drive process efficiency, automation where possible.

Complexity:

  • Ability to handle high volumes of activity and manage service delivery remotely
  • Ability to connect and navigate with stakeholders from different cultures across several countries
  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform continuous improvement plans

Qualifications


Experience required for the role

  • To be successful in this role you have demonstrable experience as a recruitment / talent acquisition partner, ideally gained within a global, highly matrixed organization.
  • Experience of using all Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel and Outlook.
  • Considerable experience of using applicant tracking systems (ideally SmartRecruiters), or other HRIS (Workday).
  • Experience of developing campaigns and proactive candidate outreach using CRM’s such as Beamery, Avature, etc.
  • Strong project / change management experience; ideally in the areas of recruiting process improvement, technology implementation, building teams and developing capabilities.
  • Considerable experience of leading a team.
  • Ability to handle high volumes of activity and multiple priorities.
  • Ability to manage service delivery remotely, across several countries.
  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to inform continuous improvement plans.
  • Fluent English is a must.

Minimum education and critical knowledge required for the job

  • Good knowledge of the end-to-end recruitment process and of recruiting best practices and you are well versed in various sourcing, head-hunting & recruiting methodologies.
  • Excellent consulting / advisory skills, able to influence talent outcomes.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills; demonstrated effective listening and questioning skills and is comfortable dealing with all levels in the organization.
  • Strong data analysis & reporting skills.
  • Customer centricity.
