Purpose of the Role

Trainline currently has an exciting opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join the People team to deliver generalist HR expertise primarily across multiple teams internally. This role will help support our Technology team across our London, Paris, and Barcelona office’s.

This is a varied and impactful role, which would suit an experienced HR generalist with experience in fast paced Tech environments. Responsibilities will vary, and you will support various levels of management across; organisational development, talent development, performance management, employee relations, employee communications, change management and reward.

As a member of the HR Business Partner team, you will be expected to link people initiatives/solutions with business strategy and performance.

This is a great opportunity for a highly commercial HR BP to take responsibility in a hands-on environment.


Job Description


Key Responsibilities

  • Build effective partnerships with key stakeholders and teams across various teams. Become a trusted adviser in all HR and people matters.
  • Coach, influence and develop the thinking of the business at all levels around key people issues relating to the business or the people themselves.
  • Provide support on delivering people projects that drive engagement and performance.
  • Continually assess the org design and capability requirements of the business teams, partnering with the talent acquisition team to assess market needs and benchmarking.
  • Identify training and development opportunities to ensure we are continually developing our people.
  • Own and manage appropriate ER cases, providing expert advice in a professional manner. Provide advice to managers, ensuring legislation is followed and liaising with legal advisors where necessary.
  • Liaise closely with our operations team on payroll, employee changes and contractual matters.
  • Bring cultural voice from employees to broader internal HR and management discussions and make recommendations for actions required to ensure employee engagement
  • On an on-going and cyclical basis: coach, guide and as appropriate project manage.

Qualifications


Ideally you will have experience of:

  • Past experience of working as an HRBP within a Technology sepcific function of a business.
  • Working in a HR BP role in a complex business environment, ideally with experience of working in digital/online or high growth businesses and supporting different/multiple functions.
  • Experience of working within a business partner role with a DNI lens
  • Understanding of owning headcount and budget specifics and interfacing with technical directors
