About the role

JFD is looking to recruit a Defence and PILS Commodities Support to work on a permanent basis from our office in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. In this role, you will be liaising with Planners to plan the supply, shipping and service reportage of Defence spares globally. You will also undertake the analysis of MOD stores movement and usage of spares.

You don’t need previous experience within this industry and we’ll provide all training. We are looking for candidates with great planning abilities, strong customer focus, good communication skills and high integrity.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Defence Department support specific to MoD processes including but not limited to MoD ERP / SAP systems.
  • To assist in the raising and coordination of spares and repairs globally
  • Raise sales order as required using information provided by commodities support planner.
  • Liaise with Production Department to ensure spares/repairs orders on schedule
  • Raise paperwork for shipping spares/repairs orders as necessary.
  • Ensure all work order delivery dates are updated and moved out if necessary on a weekly basis
  • Assist in collating outstanding sales order reports
  • Assist in shipping JFD available spares/repairs on a monthly basis making sure the Electronic repair batches are available as required by the client
  • Input time sheet information for Defence away from base staff
  • Assist in shipping back all overseas repairs as they are complete, making sure all export paperwork and documentation is completed and copies held on file. Enter in despatch log.

What do you need?

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and effectively work to deadlines
  • Experience in SAP based systems and reportage
  • Previous experience within a UK Ministry type ERP and procurement system (desirable)

The successful candidate will be required to pass UK Security Clearance.
