What you will do

As a Manufacturing Engineering Support Technician , you will provide day to day support to the Manufacturing Engineering teams for all products built at Building Construction Products, Leicester. You will assist in the update, development & documentation of assembly processes for optimum safety, quality & efficiency in line with Caterpillar Production System Guiding Principles, across the product range.

You will specifically be accountable for driving:

  • Support Current Production manufacturing engineering team with continuous improvements.

  • Create, update and audit Standard Work documentation to Caterpillar Production System (CPS) & CQMS standards for assembly processes,

  • Create and update assembly routings within Glovia.

  • Create risk assessments and lift plans (Part B) to drive safety improvements in processes.

  • Adhere to the company's Health & Safety policy and safe working practices.

The successful candidate must bring (Basic Qualifications):

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with all levels of the organisation.

  • The ability to work closely with others is imperative, requiring team participation to achieve the agreed objectives.

  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to work on your own initiative.

  • The ability to organise and manage your own workload.

  • CPS Yellow Belt trained.

Top Candidates will bring:

  • British Safety Council Level 2 Risk Assessment trained.

  • Previous experience of Glovia routing creation desired

  • Previous experience of creating / updating Standard Work documents to Caterpillar Production System (CPS) Standards.

  • Previous experience of 2D and 3D CAD software is advantageous.

  • MHE Licences.

Salary: £25,508.68 rising to £26,812.55 after role triggers are met

Contract: Permanent
