The Role

James Fisher Subtech/Renewables are recruiting a Tendering Coordinator to join the Global Tendering Team. You will be responsible for, and shall contribute to achieving the businesses goals by, preparing high quality tenders consisting of cost price, execution methodology, terms and conditions and risk analysis for projects and operations. This role will be responsible for performing various tasks involving multiple operational disciplines. Reporting to the Head of Tendering UK/EUR, the successful candidate shall be able to work on their own initiative as well as coordinate internal stakeholders to meet tender deadlines.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with management of bids through receipt of enquiry to submission and contract award;
• Lead Pre-Qualifications, liaising with other relevant departments to produce solutions in accordance with customer requirements;
• Ensure that bids are compliant with customer requirements and adhere to the Sales and Tendering process;
• Identify bid elements requiring contributions from internal departments, define these contributions, request from appropriate department and integrate into proposal;
• Write elements of bids not requiring subject matter expertise from the wider business;
• Manage bids through internal approval process;
• Manage client queries, drawing on the support of the wider organisation;
• Liaising with other relevant departments to develop technical solutions;
• Liaising with legal, commercial and contractual representatives to develop commercial solution / manage compliance;
• Working with the estimation cost model, providing robust bid estimates for internal approval;
• Working with Sales Managers to identify USP's and improve bid conversion rates;
• Package up successful bids into a handover package to allow the project/operation to commence;

Skills and Experience

• Tendering/estimating experience;
• Preferably Degree or HNC qualified in either a Business, Engineering or related subject;
• Experience of tendering subsea workscopes would be advantageous;
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft office suite including Excel and Word. MS Project experience would be advantageous

You will be a proven creative thinker who takes responsibility for their work, able to work on own initiative, effective communicator both verbally and in writing. You will have the ability to occasionally travel to project locations and offices internationally.
