Finance Assistant

Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant to be responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable for two small businesses. Using Quickbooks, you will support the Finance Manager with purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking and payroll.

Finance Assistant Responsibilities

Some of your duties will include:

Process all purchase invoices within the existing procedures, including coding, posting to the accounting system, obtaining authorisation, preparing invoices for payment by BACS, sending out remittances.

Raising sales invoices for rent, management of monthly tenant recharges, raising booking invoices for meeting and conference rooms, ad hoc sales invoices as required on Quickbooks.

Posting bank payments and bank receipts.

Detailed management of monthly payroll, working with HR and with the payroll provider to ensure the payroll is correctly administered and processed.

Provide support to the finance team e.g. responding to queries from the Finance Manager.

Finance Assistant Requirements

The successful candidate will be part or fully AAT qualified with recent experience in a similar role. You must have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work at a fast pace, meeting tight deadlines. Our client is keen to meet candidates with a collaborative and customer-centric approach to work.

Location

Based in Oxford, this is a full-time role working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. The working hours will be between 9am - 5pm and is flexible according to business needs. Hybrid-working is available with at least 2 days required in the office.

There is no onsite parking available but there are excellent transport links nearby.
